My Mother

Sad news my Mother passed away last Saturday. I am going to miss her very much! She is happy though, I know that because she is with my Father who passed away in 2001. She never really recovered from that. I have enjoyed helping to take care of her ever since then. She passed very peacefully. My children helped out at the funeral. Eve did a eulogy and it was very good. Michael talked on the Holy Spirit and how he can bring comfort to us who are still here. Also Michael, Bekah, Eve and Rachel sang "The Lord is my Shepherd". I enjoyed it very much and loved having all my children with me for a couple of days. I know Mother was there and was very proud of them too.

I've been back!

I have been back from Utah since the last week of Jan. So I have not been writing here! I have been sick (not fun), but I have had a great time having a grand baby. It is soooo much easier to have those than those babies I had! I think Eve had a good time this time too. She wrote a great blog about it tho, everyone should go read it! Anyway now we have a cute tiny little baby and we do love him. I was thinking on the way home from work tonight (pretty scary). "What is it that I tried the hardest to teach my children?" I think (hope) it was how to really love others. I guess you guys better let me know if that is true and if it worked (I think it did, I have some incredible children, read their blogs!!!) Also some other great, great news is that my Bekah-baby is pregnant! Woo-Hoo!!!! We are all so happy!!! Can't wait! Get all the details at her blog. Yea Bekah and Chris!!!! I'll try to write sooner next time!

In Utah

Here I am in the real snow!! This is one of those winters out here that the snow does not melt, just piles up. Also life goes on. People actually drive in this stuff! I am enjoying myself with children, grandchild and in-laws. Michael has to work to much (life!). Velvet and Karli are beautiful! Bekah is beautiful too! I have watched lots of quilting and dancing. I went to the DI and got great books for $1 a piece. Tonight we are going to meet the Robinson clan. It will be fun!! I miss everyone back home but I'll be home Monday and back to work on Tuesday! Wish everyone was here!!

Lots Of Snow In Georgia!?!

Oh my, real snow. I haven't seen it here for a few years! It's pretty but I get tired of it when I can't drive. Also I have to catch a plane for Utah on Monday and I really want to go. I think this will probably be gone but I see they are expecting a lot of snow on Monday there, oh dear! I have some pictures here of our house and yards and especially of Erick in the snow. Now I have to go pack!

Explaining my Faith

I was looking on lds.org at the news. M. Russell Ballard told the graduating class at BYU Hawaii to use the Internet — including blogs and other forms of “new media” — to contribute to a national conversation about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:
Apostle Urges Students to Use New Media

Then I read an article about Mormonism in the N.Y. Times titled,
What Is It About Mormonism?

So I had to comment to them about some problems with the article. Only a part of the problems that I had, anyway I am going to put my comments here for all to read.

As a Mormon I would like to comment on your Mormonism article. I am not a leader of the
Church but just a member and one of the strong believers. This was a pretty good article. There is of course much more to our religion that is faith based and a lot of what we do is what the Lord tells us to do because we believe in personal revelation in our lives. I can tell you that I have it in mine and the Lord guides and directs my life. Also one thing I would take difference to is that The Book of Mormon is not a version of the Bible. It is another testament of Jesus Christ but it is about an ancient people on the American continent who were also waiting for Christ and his teachings. Of course the teachings are the same, his teachings would be the same no matter who he taught them too. We read the Bible and teach from it as much as the Book of Mormon. I would read a Gideon Bible every day of the year! Especially since the Gideon Bible is a King James Version. That is the same as the Bible we study, in fact that is the Bible that we study. Our King James Version that we buy along with The Book of Mormon has been cross referenced to the KJV of the Bible and we study them together as witnesses of Jesus Christ. More explanation is at www.mormon.org. Our religion is not a secret! Our religion is not a mystery anymore because you can always now find a Mormon and ask him or her. I hope this will clarify my position.
Thank you,

Here it is a New Year!!

OK I am here writing, does that mean a better year for my blog? I hope so! Anyway I am probably here because this is the big day for bringing up all the rest of my boxes from the garage. Man what a job. I have to go thru them and find a place for most of it and the rest has to go upstairs in the attic. In boxes with a number on them and a list of what is in that number box on my paper. Wow how long do you think that will take? That is why I am still sitting here on this computer, ugh!! Any minute Eve or possibly Adam, who wants his garage back, will come and say, "What are you doing? We have been waiting and waiting for you." Then it will be lunch time and man will this ever get done? Wake me up when it is over!!!

I forgot! So typical!

Well this is an update anyway. I'll be moving back to Newnan with Adam and Eve. At the end of this month. It means a long yucky drive to Sandy Springs every day but I will be closer to the grandkids and that is all important. I'll be living with that cute little shadow, Erick. He is a doll and I have such fun with him. I was with Sarah all day today. I don't like to call it babysitting cause I have such fun playing with her! She is so smart and just like Erick loves to do the things we don't want her too. I can't believe how smart all the grandchildren are! I thought my kids were awesomely smart but their kids are even smarter! You can go to thegraybeals.com and see all the new stuff from my kids in their blogs and myspaces. If this move doesn't kill me off I'll be back. If I can remember.
